Hello,
My name is Glenn Fraller. I am a 57 white male who works 32 hours a week as a graphic design SLASH file troubleshooter. The economy has made life miserable having to endure my 82st layoff Friday, at the time of this writing. I hold a college degree that reads: Industrial Education and Technology, School of Graphic Design. So I am not a slouch! I’ve worked in very hard jobs in my life. I know what hard, dirty, hot and heavy work is. I worked with dynamite in a strip mining operation!

I was married for over 31 years in a blissful and loving marriage and held an active “daddy”role in raising two productive adults, Heather and Brandon. Katie, my late spouse, passed away due to a multitde of illnesses in August of 2006. After finding myself at the bottom of a Crown Royal bottle for over 3 years, I was blessed when RAE came into my life through a "wink" she sent me via True.com, a dating web site. RAE is a loving and caring person who happens to be a seasoned RN. She and I have been an item for almost one year when I was diagnosed with Prosate Cancer. My cancer is slow growing. I am in the low risk category of the Gleason scale with all low numbers. So there is a very good possibility of curing me.

Yesterday Friday, March 25, 2010 at 3:45pm started another chapter in my life. One of survival. Rae and I were not prepared for the news but were not entirely surprised either. I am typing this Saturday. So - I've started on the journey of educating myself about my cancer as I did with Katie's illnesses. Now it's my turn to step up to the plate. There is one major challenge to overcome, the lack of having major medical insurance. Yes, after insuring Katie for over 30 years, I’ve been caught without insurance!!! You see, my employer cancelled all health insurance because it was costing the company $14,000 a month. It's the economy! I have thoughts of my FINANCIAL life being terminal. This news made me change the FOCUS of this dot org from helping others to helping me. I need to generate funds, $15,000! I need this because AFLAC is not enough coverage! I managed somehow to hang onto four AFLAC policies. One was a CANCER policy and the other a HOSPITAL INDEMITY Policy.

I have chosen nerve-sparing retro-pubic radiacal prostatectomy. The reasoning behind the retro-pubic is because my prostate if four times the size of normal. I feel this is the ONLY sure-fire way to ride my body of ALL cancer cells. I will meet with my Urologist in three weeks, Dr. Pedro Macucci, MD in Cape Coral, FL as a consultant on what questions the last ass-clown Urologist. Dr. Macucci, M.D. is in the field of medicine for the old-fashioned reason - to heal. Imagine that! So with all that said -- PLEASE DONATE TO MY CAUSE. Click on the continued botton to read more. I will be updating this story as it happens. There are links to scanned bills too. Kinda gives an idea of the costs that can be negotiated down BEFORE surgery! I help people too, but that is a story for another day in time. THANK YOU!
